Described as a "2d roguelike sidescroller", its main focus is using realistic/theoretical weapons, abilities, and technology to upgrade your character, m, and fight dangerous mobs. n-gon has been described as "the Yotsuba of browser games" and was nominated for the title of 2025 n-community favorite game.
n-gon was created primarily with JavaScript using the matter.js 2-D physics library, as well as with HTML and CSS. The code is free and open-source and can be found on GitHub. Community maps and mods are a major part of the game.
