- There's another NGON; did you perhaps mean that one?
n-gon (stylized in all lowercase) is a 2018 American browser 2D roguelike physics-based platformer game made by Ross Landgreen. Described as a "2d roguelike sidescroller", its main focus is using realistic/theoretical weapons, abilities, and technology to upgrade the playable character m, and fight dangerous mobs, as you travel through multiple maps. n-gon has been described as "the Yotsuba of browser games" and was nominated for the title of 2025 n-community favorite game.
n-gon was created primarily with JavaScript using the matter.js 2D physics library, as well with HTML and CSS. The code is free and open-source and can be found on GitHub. Community maps and mods are a major part of the game.
There is also a Training Mode, which teaches you how to play, as well as an Experiment/Testing Mode, which lets you test anything.
